How to Check if a variable is equal to any of several values

     In many situation we need to check the same variable with many values in if statement, it is increase your code size and make confusions.
     We can use array like below and check it, this method is reduce your code size and avoid confusions.

Normally we using (Wrong Method)

    var num = 4;

    if (num == 1 || num == 2 || num == 3 || num == 4 || num == 5 || num == 6 || num == 7 || num == 8 || num == 9)
{
      alert("This is the number");
    }
  }
</script>

Best Method
     Which values want to check insert it to a array and find the index value of the variable, if it it not equal to -1 the condition is true other wise the condition is wrong.
